LONG LIVE THE LOCAL ‘THE HORNS LODGE’

DIRECTOR CHRIS SMITH / PRODUCTION COMPANY SMUGGLER

For the second year of the BBA’s ‘Long Live the Local’ campaign, we created a documentary about The Horn’s Lodge pub. Created by Chris Smith, the director of ‘Fyre’ and ‘The Disappearance of Madeline McCann’, the seemingly feature length film cuts short after 6 minutes to reveal the vibrant pub, full of characters and stories closed in 2019.

The heart-breaking end was designed to make viewers to feel the loss experienced by the communities across the country when their pubs close. The film ends with a 24 minute call to sign the petition to cut beer tax.
